A big thank you goes to members of the Vatterott Foundation Youth Board who have “adopted” Assistance League of St. Louis and provided much-appreciated assistance to us over the past four months! The youth board consists of more than 800 cousins ages 13-35 nationwide whose mission is to give back to their communities in the spirit of their ancestors.
Five of the 250 St. Louis area cousins helped with My Own Fun Stuff packing in October and two of them-Michael Hundelt and Chuck Herwig-have been especially helpful. Michael and Chuck helped with an Outreach project in November by loading, transporting and unloading 2,500 canned food items for Circle of Concern. Michael, pictured above, also recently installed shelving for the ROSE (Raise Our Self-Esteem program) room and will soon add shelving and cabinets in the office area of Fantastic Finds, Assistance League of St. Louis’ resale shop.
Michael says of the youth board, “Our work with Assistance League and their wonderful philanthropic programs in the St. Louis community is a joy for the family as we work together in faith and charity.”
